Artist Bio:
Tim Davis is an American artist and photographer known for his conceptual and documentary work. He was born in Blantyre, Malawi in 1969 and currently resides in Tivoli, New York. Davis studied at Bard College where he received his B.A. in photography and literature in 1993. He later went on to complete his MFA in photography from Yale University in 1999.
Davis is recognized for his unique approach to capturing everyday moments and places, often incorporating humor and wit in his photographs. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He has also published several books of his photography, such as "My Life in Politics" and "The New Antiquity." Davis is currently a professor of photography at Bard College and continues to create thought-provoking and visually engaging artwork.
