Artist Bio:
Timi Yuro was an American singer born on August 4, 1940, as Rosemary Yuro in Chicago, Illinois. She was known for her powerful voice and emotional delivery, often compared to that of singers like Etta James and Dinah Washington. Yuro rose to fame in the early 1960s with hits like "Hurt" and "What's a Matter Baby (Is It Hurting You)", which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Yuro's music style was a blend of pop, R&B, and soul, and she was one of the few white artists to achieve success in the traditionally African American genres. Despite facing health issues later in her life, Timi Yuro continued to perform and record music until her death on March 30, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her soulful voice and emotional delivery have left a lasting impact on the music industry.
