Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Santa Barbara, California. The band consists of members Glen Phillips (vocals/guitar), Todd Nichols (guitar), Dean Dinning (bass), and Randy Guss (drums). They gained popularity in the early 1990s with hits such as "All I Want" and "Walk on the Ocean" from their third studio album, "Fear," released in 1991.
Toad the Wet Sprocket released a total of six studio albums between 1989 and 2013, with their music characterized by introspective lyrics and melodic pop-rock sound. The band went on hiatus in the late 1990s but reunited in 2006 to continue making music and touring. Toad the Wet Sprocket has maintained a dedicated fan base over the years and continues to perform live shows, showcasing their timeless and enduring appeal in the alternative rock genre.
