Artist Bio:
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were an American rock band formed in 1976 in Gainesville, Florida. The band consisted of Tom Petty (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Campbell (lead guitar), Benmont Tench (keyboards), Ron Blair (bass), and Stan Lynch (drums). They were known for their roots rock sound, catchy melodies, and Petty's distinctive vocals.


Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers released several successful albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1976, "Damn the Torpedoes" in 1979, and "Full Moon Fever" in 1989. Some of their most popular songs include "American Girl," "Refugee," "Free Fallin'," and "I Won't Back Down." The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers continued to perform and record music until Petty's passing in 2017.
