Tom T. Hall, born in Olive Hill, Kentucky in 1936, is an American country music singer-songwriter and novelist. Known as "The Storyteller" for his narrative songwriting style, Hall has written and recorded many hit songs throughout his career. Some of his most popular songs include "Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine," "I Love," and "The Year Clayton Delaney Died." Hall was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008 in recognition of his contributions to the genre.
