Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart were an American songwriting and production duo that gained fame in the 1960s. They are best known for their work in creating hit songs for popular bands such as The Monkees. Boyce and Hart wrote several of The Monkees' most famous songs, including "Last Train to Clarksville," "(Theme From) The Monkees," and "Valleri."
In addition to their songwriting success, Boyce and Hart also had a brief career as a pop-rock duo, releasing albums and singles under their own name. Some of their notable hits as a duo include "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight" and "Alice Long (You're Still My Favorite Girlfriend)." Boyce and Hart's music has continued to be celebrated for its catchy melodies and upbeat, pop sensibility.
