Artist Bio:
Tommy Boyce (1939-1994) and Bobby Hart (born 1939) were an American songwriting and production duo known for their work in the 1960s and 1970s. They were best known for writing and producing songs for The Monkees, a popular American rock band. Boyce and Hart wrote several hit songs for The Monkees, including "Last Train to Clarksville," "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," and "Valleri."


In addition to their success with The Monkees, Boyce and Hart also wrote and produced songs for other artists, such as Little Anthony & The Imperials, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and Chubby Checker. Boyce and Hart also recorded as a duo themselves, releasing several albums and singles. Their music often featured catchy melodies and upbeat, pop-influenced sound that captured the spirit of the 1960s music scene.
