Tommy Edwards was an American singer and songwriter who was born on February 17, 1922, in Richmond, Virginia. He was best known for his hit song "It's All in the Game," which was released in 1958 and became a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was later re-released in 1970 and reached the top ten on the charts once again.
Edwards began his music career in the 1940s, performing with various groups before eventually launching a successful solo career. In addition to "It's All in the Game," he had several other hits during his career, including "Please Mr. Sun" and "My Melancholy Baby." Tommy Edwards passed away on October 22, 1969, but his music continues to be remembered and celebrated by fans of classic pop and R&B music.
