Tommy Roe is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the 1960s. He was born on May 9, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia. Roe is best known for his bubblegum pop hits, including "Sheila" and "Dizzy," which both reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


Roe began his music career in the late 1950s and continued to release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to his success on the pop charts, Roe also had a number of country music hits. He was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1986. Roe's music continues to be celebrated for its catchy melodies and upbeat, feel-good vibe.
