The song was a blend of blues and R&B influences and showcased Tucker's soulful vocals.
Despite the success of "High-Heel Sneakers," Tucker struggled to achieve further commercial success in the music industry. He continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s but never reached the same level of popularity as his breakthrough hit.
