Tony Bellus was an American singer, songwriter, and musician who gained popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was born on July 23, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, and began his music career at a young age, performing in local clubs and talent shows. Bellus is best known for his hit song "Robbin' the Cradle," which was released in 1959 and reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


Despite the success of "Robbin' the Cradle," Bellus did not achieve significant commercial success with his subsequent releases. He continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s but eventually faded into obscurity. Tony Bellus passed away on June 24, 2014, leaving behind a legacy as a one-hit wonder from the early days of rock and roll.
