Bellus is best known for his hit song "Robbin' the Cradle," which was released in 1959 and reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Despite the success of "Robbin' the Cradle," Bellus did not achieve significant commercial success with his subsequent releases. He continued to perform and record music throughout the 1960s but eventually faded into obscurity.
