Tony Orlando & Dawn was an American pop music group formed in 1970. The group consisted of lead singer Tony Orlando and two backing vocalists, Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent. They achieved commercial success in the 1970s with a string of hit singles, including "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" and "Knock Three Times." "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" became their signature song and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Tony Orlando & Dawn also had their own television variety show, "Tony Orlando and Dawn," which aired from 1974 to 1976. The group's music was characterized by their catchy melodies, strong harmonies, and Tony Orlando's distinctive vocals.
