He is best known as the lead singer of the group Tony Orlando and Dawn, which was popular in the 1970s. The group's biggest hits include "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" and "Knock Three Times."
Orlando began his music career in the 1960s, and his success with Tony Orlando and Dawn led to numerous television appearances and a variety show called "The Tony Orlando and Dawn Show." In addition to his music career, Orlando has also acted in films and television shows. He continues to perform and tour, with a successful solo career in addition to his work with Tony Orlando and Dawn.
