Toto is an American rock band formed in 1977 in Los Angeles. The band's original lineup consisted of David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate, Jeff Porcaro, and Bobby Kimball. They gained commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with their blend of rock, pop, and progressive elements. Toto is known for hits such as "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," and "Africa."
Toto has released over 17 studio albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. They have won several Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for their album "Toto IV" in 1983. The band's lineup has changed over the years, with members coming and going, but they continue to tour and perform to this day, with Steve Lukather being the only original member still actively involved in the band.
