Toto is an American rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of members David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate, Jeff Porcaro, and Bobby Kimball. They are known for their blend of rock, pop, and jazz influences, as well as their intricate arrangements and skilled musicianship. Toto achieved great commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with hits such as "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," and "Africa."
Toto has released a total of 14 studio albums, with their self-titled debut album in 1978 being the most successful. The band has won several Grammy Awards over the years and has sold over 40 million records worldwide. Despite changes in the lineup and periods of inactivity, Toto continues to perform and tour, with Steve Lukather being the only original member still active in the band.
