Traffic was a British rock band formed in 1967, consisting of members Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood, and Dave Mason. The band is known for their eclectic style that combined elements of rock, jazz, folk, and psychedelic music. They achieved commercial success with hits like "Dear Mr. Fantasy," "Paper Sun," and "The Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys."


Traffic released influential albums such as their debut "Mr. Fantasy" in 1967, followed by "Traffic" in 1968, and "John Barleycorn Must Die" in 1970. The band went through various lineup changes over the years, with Steve Winwood being the only constant member. Despite disbanding in 1974, Traffic reunited several times for tours and recordings before officially disbanding in the late 1990s. Throughout their career, Traffic received critical acclaim and left a lasting impact on the music industry with their innovative sound.
