Train is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1993. The band consists of lead vocalist Patrick Monahan, guitarist Luis Maldonado, bassist Hector Maldonado, keyboardist Jerry Becker, drummer Matt Musty, and guitarist Sakai Smith. Train rose to fame in the late 1990s with their debut album, "Train," which included the hit single "Meet Virginia."
Their most successful album to date is "Drops of Jupiter" released in 2001, which spawned the Grammy Award-winning single of the same name. Train has released several other successful albums, including "My Private Nation," "Save Me, San Francisco," and "California 37." They are known for their catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a sound that blends elements of rock, pop, and folk. Train continues to tour and release new music, maintaining a loyal fan base around the world.
