Train is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1993. The band consists of lead vocalist Patrick Monahan, guitarist Luis Maldonado, drummer Sakai Smith, keyboardist Jerry Becker, bassist Hector Maldonado, and guitarist Matt Musty. Train gained commercial success with their self-titled debut album released in 1998, which included the hit single "Meet Virginia." They further solidified their popularity with the release of their second album, "Drops of Jupiter," in 2001, featuring the Grammy Award-winning title track.
Train has released a total of 10 studio albums, with hits such as "Hey, Soul Sister," "Drive By," and "Play That Song."
