Trapt is an American rock band that was formed in Los Gatos, California in 1995. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Chris Taylor Brown, bassist Pete Charell, drummer Brendan Hengle, and guitarist Ty Fury. Trapt gained mainstream success with their 2002 self-titled album, which featured the hit singles "Headstrong" and "Echo." "Headstrong" in particular was a major commercial success and remains one of the band's most popular songs.
Trapt has released a total of seven studio albums, with their most recent being "Shadow Work" in 2020. The band's music is characterized by a blend of alternative metal and post-grunge influences. Trapt has toured extensively and built a dedicated fan base over the years, with their energetic live performances and catchy anthems earning them a prominent place in the rock music scene.
