Triumph is a Canadian rock band that was formed in 1975. The band's original lineup consisted of Rik Emmett on guitar and vocals, Mike Levine on bass, and Gil Moore on drums. Triumph is known for their hard rock sound with elements of progressive rock and heavy metal. They achieved commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with hit songs like "Lay It on the Line," "Magic Power," and "Fight the Good Fight." Triumph's music often featured intricate guitar work and powerful vocals, with a sound that set them apart from other bands of their time.
Triumph released a total of 10 studio albums between 1976 and 1992, with their most successful albums being "Allied Forces" and "Never Surrender." The band also gained a reputation for their energetic live performances and elaborate stage shows. Despite disbanding in 1993, Triumph reunited briefly in 2008 for a series of concerts. They were inducted into the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame in 2007.
