Triumph was a Canadian hard rock band formed in 1975 in Mississauga, Ontario. The band consisted of Rik Emmett (guitar, vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards), and Gil Moore (drums, vocals). They achieved commercial success in the late 1970s and 1980s with their blend of hard rock and progressive rock influences.


Triumph released nine studio albums between 1976 and 1993, with their most successful being "Allied Forces" in 1981 and "Never Surrender" in 1983. Some of their popular songs include "Lay It on the Line," "Magic Power," and "Fight the Good Fight." The band was known for their energetic live performances and elaborate stage shows. Triumph disbanded in 1993, but they reunited for a one-night performance in 2008.
