Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band formed in 1972 in New York City. The band's most well-known lineup consists of lead vocalist Dee Snider, guitarist Jay Jay French, guitarist Eddie Ojeda, bassist Mark Mendoza, and drummer A.J. Pero. Twisted Sister gained popularity in the 1980s with their energetic live performances and hits such as "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock."
The band's image, characterized by their over-the-top costumes and makeup, played a significant role in their success and helped them stand out in the glam metal scene of the era. Twisted Sister released several albums throughout their career, including "Stay Hungry" in 1984, which was their most successful album.
