Artist Bio:
Tyrannosaurus Rex was an English psychedelic folk band formed in 1967 by singer-songwriter Marc Bolan and percussionist Steve Peregrin Took. The duo released four albums under the name Tyrannosaurus Rex before changing their name to T. Rex in 1970. Their music was characterized by Bolan's distinctive vocal style and poetic lyrics, combined with Took's eclectic percussion.

Tyrannosaurus Rex achieved moderate success in the UK, particularly with their third album "Unicorn" which reached number 12 on the UK Albums Chart. However, it was after changing their name to T. Rex and embracing a more electric rock sound that they truly found fame, becoming one of the most popular glam rock bands of the early 1970s. Marc Bolan's charismatic stage presence and catchy songs like "Get It On" and "Jeepster" helped T. Rex become one of the biggest bands of the era.
