Artist Bio:
UB40 is a British reggae and pop band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The band's name is derived from the Unemployment Benefit form 40, which was the document used to claim unemployment benefits in the UK at the time of the band's formation. UB40's original lineup consisted of five friends from Birmingham's inner-city district of Balsall Heath. They gained international fame with their debut album "Signing Off" in 1980, which reached number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified platinum.

UB40 has released numerous hit singles over the years, including "Red Red Wine," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and "I Got You Babe." The band's music is characterized by a mix of reggae, pop, and rock influences, with socially conscious lyrics addressing political and social issues. UB40 has sold over 70 million records worldwide and continues to tour and perform live, with a dedicated fan base that spans generations.
