Artist Bio:
Underground Sunshine was an American rock band formed in Montello, Wisconsin in the late 1960s. The band consisted of members Chris Connors, Frank Kozy, Paul Schluter, and Tom Schiffour. They gained popularity with their cover of The Beatles' song "Birthday," which reached #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969. Their version of the song featured a more hard rock sound compared to the original.

Despite their initial success with "Birthday," Underground Sunshine was unable to replicate the same level of commercial success with their subsequent releases. The band eventually disbanded in the early 1970s. Underground Sunshine is remembered as a one-hit wonder for their cover of "Birthday," which remains a cult favorite among fans of 1960s rock music.
