Artist Bio:
Urge Overkill is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1984. The band consists of members Nash Kato (vocals/guitar), Eddie "King" Roeser (vocals/guitar), and various drummers over the years. They gained popularity in the 1990s with their mix of glam rock, punk, and pop influences. Their breakthrough album, "Saturation," was released in 1993 and featured the hit single "Sister Havana."
Urge Overkill's music has been featured in various films, including Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction," in which their cover of Neil Diamond's "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" was included on the soundtrack. While the band went on hiatus in the late 1990s, they reunited in 2011 and have continued to perform and release new music. Their style is characterized by catchy melodies, gritty guitar riffs, and a retro aesthetic that pays homage to rock 'n' roll of the past.
