Van Halen was an American rock band formed in 1972 in Pasadena, California. The band was founded by brothers Eddie Van Halen on guitar and Alex Van Halen on drums, along with vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony. Van Halen is considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, known for their energetic live performances and innovative guitar techniques.
The band released several successful albums throughout their career, including their self-titled debut album in 1978, which featured the hit singles "Runnin' with the Devil" and a cover of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me." Van Halen went on to achieve commercial success with albums like "1984" and "5150." Eddie Van Halen, known for his virtuosic guitar skills, was widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists in rock history. Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
