Artist Bio:
Van Halen was an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California in 1972. The band was founded by brothers Eddie Van Halen on guitar and Alex Van Halen on drums, along with vocalist David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony. They achieved great success in the 1970s and 1980s with their energetic live performances and innovative guitar work by Eddie Van Halen.

Van Halen released several multi-platinum albums, including their self-titled debut album in 1978, which featured the hit singles "Runnin' with the Devil" and a cover of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me." The band's other popular songs include "Jump," "Panama," and "Hot for Teacher." Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. The band's lineup went through various changes over the years, with Sammy Hagar replacing David Lee Roth as the lead vocalist in the mid-1980s, and later Gary Cherone taking over vocal duties in the late 1990s.
