Artist Bio:
Van Zant is a Southern rock band formed in 1985 by brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant. Johnny Van Zant is also the lead vocalist for the iconic rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, while Donnie Van Zant was a former member of the band 38 Special. The band's name comes from the brothers' last name, paying homage to their family's musical legacy. Van Zant is known for their high-energy performances and classic Southern rock sound, drawing influence from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers.

Van Zant released their debut album, "Van Zant" in 1985, and have since released several more albums including "Van Zant II" and "Brother to Brother." The band has enjoyed success with hits such as "Help Somebody" and "Nobody Gonna Tell Me What to Do." Despite facing tragedy with the deaths of band members (including Johnny and Donnie's brother, Ronnie Van Zant, the original lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Van Zant continues to tour and perform, keeping the Southern rock legacy alive.
