Vincent Grant Gill, known professionally as Vince Gill, is an American country music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born on April 12, 1957, in Norman, Oklahoma. Gill has achieved commercial success and critical acclaim throughout his career, winning numerous awards, including 21 Grammy Awards. Gill has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Gill has released over 20 studio albums and has charted more than 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including several number one hits. He is known for his smooth tenor voice and his ability to blend traditional country music with elements of rock, pop, and bluegrass. In addition to his solo career, Gill has also collaborated with other artists, such as Dolly Parton, George Jones, and Alison Krauss.
