Artist Bio:
Wall of Voodoo was a new wave band formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Stan Ridgway, Marc Moreland, Chas Gray, Bruce Moreland, and Joe Nanini. They were known for their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, and alternative rock music, with a distinctive sound that incorporated elements of Americana and synthesizers.
Wall of Voodoo gained commercial success with their hit single "Mexican Radio" in 1983, which was featured on their album "Call of the West." The band's music often featured dark and unconventional lyrics, combined with experimental instrumentation. Wall of Voodoo disbanded in 1988, but their influence on the alternative music scene of the 1980s is still acknowledged today.
