Walter Jackson was an American soul artist who rose to prominence in the 1960s. He was born on March 19, 1938, in Pensacola, Florida, and began his music career by singing gospel in church. Jackson signed with Okeh Records in 1964 and released his debut album, "It's All Over," in 1966. He was known for his smooth and soulful voice, which earned him comparisons to other soul legends such as Sam Cooke and Otis Redding.


Jackson's most successful single was "It's All Over," which reached number four on the Billboard R&B chart in 1964. Throughout his career, he released several albums and singles, including "Welcome Home," "Speak Her Name," and "I Feel Good All Over." Walter Jackson's music resonated with audiences for its emotional depth and sincerity, making him a respected figure in the soul music scene. He continued to perform and record music until his death on June 20, 1983, leaving behind a legacy of soulful and heartfelt music.
