Waldman began her music career in the early 1970s as a member of the acclaimed folk group Bryndle alongside Kenny Edwards, Karla Bonoff, and Andrew Gold.


Waldman has released several solo albums throughout her career, including "Love Has Got Me" and "Gypsy Symphony." She is also a highly respected songwriter, having written songs for numerous artists such as Linda Ronstadt, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Suzy Bogguss. Waldman's music is known for its heartfelt lyrics, soulful vocals, and intricate musical arrangements, showcasing her talent as both a performer and a songwriter.
