Westside Connection was a West Coast hip-hop group formed in the early 1990s, consisting of Ice Cube, WC, and Mack 10. The group created a sound that mixed gangsta rap with G-funk, a subgenre of hip-hop characterized by its slow, heavy beats and synthesizer-driven melodies. One of their most popular tracks was "Gangsta Nation," featuring Nate Dogg, which was released in 2003. Nate Dogg was a renowned hip-hop artist known for his smooth vocals and collaborations with various artists in the genre. He was featured on numerous hit songs, including Warren G's "Regulate" and Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode," and was considered one of the pioneers of West Coast hip-hop.


Together, Westside Connection and Nate Dogg created a unique blend of gritty lyrics and melodic hooks that resonated with fans of West Coast hip-hop.
