Wham! was a British pop duo formed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in 1981. They found success in the 1980s with their catchy, upbeat pop songs and energetic performances. Their debut album, "Fantastic," was released in 1983 and included hits like "Young Guns" and "Club Tropicana." However, it was their second album, "Make It Big," released in 1984, that catapulted them to international fame with hits such as "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper."
Wham! was known for their vibrant and youthful image, as well as their infectious pop sound that appealed to a wide audience. The duo disbanded in 1986 after releasing their final album, "The Final," which included the iconic song "Last Christmas." George Michael went on to have a successful solo career, while Andrew Ridgeley pursued other interests outside of music. Wham! remains a beloved and influential pop act from the 1980s.
