White Lion was a rock band formed in New York City in 1983. The band's classic lineup consisted of lead vocalist Mike Tramp, guitarist Vito Bratta, bassist James LoMenzo, and drummer Greg D'Angelo. They are best known for their hit songs "Wait" and "When the Children Cry" from their album "Pride," which was released in 1987. The album achieved double-platinum status in the United States and featured a more melodic and mainstream rock sound.
Throughout their career, White Lion released a total of five studio albums and disbanded in 1992. They briefly reunited in 1999 and again in 2004 for a few years before disbanding once more. Despite their relatively short-lived success, White Lion left a lasting impact on the rock music scene of the late 1980s with their distinctive sound and memorable songs.
