Whitesnake is a British rock band formed in 1978 by lead singer David Coverdale, after he left the band Deep Purple. The band's early music was heavily influenced by blues rock and hard rock, and they gained popularity in the 1980s with hits like "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love." Whitesnake's self-titled album in 1987 reached number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart and is their most successful album to date.
Throughout their career, Whitesnake has seen several lineup changes, with Coverdale being the only constant member. The band has released a total of 13 studio albums, with their latest being "Flesh & Blood" in 2019. Whitesnake is known for their energetic live performances and their signature sound that combines heavy guitar riffs with Coverdale's powerful vocals.
