Whitesnake is a British rock band formed in 1978 by former Deep Purple lead vocalist David Coverdale. The band's music is known for its blend of hard rock, blues rock, and glam metal elements. Whitesnake achieved commercial success in the 1980s with hit songs like "Here I Go Again," "Is This Love," and "Still of the Night."


Over the years, Whitesnake has undergone several lineup changes, with Coverdale being the only constant member. The band has released numerous albums, with their self-titled album (also known as 1987) being their most successful, reaching multi-platinum status in the United States.
