Wilson Phillips is an American pop rock trio formed in Los Angeles in 1989. The group consists of Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, the daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and Chynna Phillips, the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990 and was a commercial success, producing three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including "Hold On" and "Release Me."

Wilson Phillips' harmonies and catchy pop melodies garnered them a significant following in the early 1990s. They released several albums throughout the decade, with varying degrees of success.
