Wilson Phillips is an American pop rock trio formed in Los Angeles in 1989. The group consists of Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, the daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and Chynna Phillips, the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990 and was a commercial success, producing five hit singles, including "Hold On" and "Release Me." The album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Wilson Phillips released several more albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, with moderate success. They reunited in 2004 and have continued to perform and release music sporadically. The group is known for their harmonious vocals and catchy pop melodies, drawing inspiration from their parents' musical backgrounds.
