Wilson Phillips is an American pop rock trio consisting of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson, and Chynna Phillips. The group was formed in 1989 and released their self-titled debut album in 1990, which was a commercial success, reaching number two on the Billboard 200 chart and spawning several hit singles including "Hold On" and "Release Me". Their harmonious vocals and catchy melodies contributed to their popularity in the early 1990s.
Despite their initial success, Wilson Phillips disbanded in 1993 but reunited in 2004 to release their album "California", which included a cover of the Beach Boys' classic song "Good Vibrations". The trio continues to perform and record music, with occasional hiatuses and solo projects. Wilson Phillips has maintained a loyal fan base and is recognized for their harmonious blend of voices and heartfelt lyrics, solidifying their place in pop music history.
