Artist Bio:
Winger is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1987. The band's original members were Kip Winger (vocals/bass), Reb Beach (guitar), Paul Taylor (keyboards), and Rod Morgenstein (drums). They gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their melodic rock sound and catchy hooks.
Winger released their self-titled debut album in 1988, which included hits like "Seventeen" and "Headed for a Heartbreak." The band's music was characterized by its blend of hard rock and glam metal elements. Despite achieving commercial success, Winger faced backlash from critics who dismissed them as a "hair metal" band. The band went on hiatus in the mid-1990s but reunited in the 2000s and continues to tour and release new music.
