Winger is an American rock band that was formed in New York City in 1987. The band's original lineup consisted of Kip Winger (lead vocals and bass), Reb Beach (guitar), Paul Taylor (keyboards), and Rod Morgenstein (drums). They are known for their blend of hard rock and glam metal styles, gaining popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s.


Winger released their self-titled debut album in 1988, which achieved commercial success with hits like "Seventeen" and "Headed for a Heartbreak." The band continued to release albums throughout the 1990s, including "In the Heart of the Young" in 1990 and "Pull" in 1993. Despite a hiatus in the late 1990s, Winger reunited in the early 2000s and has since continued to tour and release new music, maintaining a loyal fan base within the rock music scene.
