Artist Bio:
Winger is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1987 by singer/bassist Kip Winger. The band's lineup also includes guitarist Reb Beach, keyboardist Paul Taylor, and drummer Rod Morgenstein. Winger gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their brand of melodic hard rock and glam metal.
Winger released their self-titled debut album in 1988, which spawned hits like "Seventeen" and "Headed for a Heartbreak." The band's music often featured catchy hooks, harmonies, and intricate musicianship. Despite achieving commercial success, Winger faced criticism for being associated with the glam metal scene. The band went on hiatus in the early 1990s but reunited in 2001 and continues to tour and release new music, showcasing a more mature and refined sound.
