Artist Bio:
Wings was a British-American rock band formed in 1971 by former Beatles member Paul McCartney, along with his wife Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, Henry McCullough, and Denny Seiwell. The band was active from 1971 to 1981 and achieved commercial success with hits such as "Live and Let Die," "Band on the Run," and "Jet." Wings released a total of seven studio albums during their career, with "Band on the Run" being their most successful album, reaching multi-platinum status in several countries.
Wings disbanded in 1981 after McCartney's solo career began to overshadow the band's success. Despite their relatively short time together, Wings left a lasting impact on the music industry and are remembered for their catchy melodies, eclectic sound, and McCartney's songwriting prowess. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
