Wink Martindale, whose real name is Winston Conrad Martindale, is an American disc jockey, television host, and game show host. He was born on December 4, 1933, in Jackson, Tennessee. Martindale gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s as a radio DJ, working for stations like WHBQ in Memphis and KFWB in Los Angeles.


In the 1970s and 1980s, Martindale transitioned to television, where he became best known for hosting game shows such as "Gambit," "High Rollers," and "Tic-Tac-Dough." He also hosted the popular music countdown show "The Top 10 of 1955-1979." Martindale's smooth voice and charismatic personality made him a beloved figure on both radio and television, earning him a dedicated fan base over the years.
