Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip hop group formed in Staten Island, New York City in 1992. The group consists of nine members: RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol' Dirty Bastard (who passed away in 2004). They are known for their unique blend of hardcore street lyrics, kung fu-inspired imagery, and gritty production style.
Their debut album, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)", released in 1993, is considered one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. Wu-Tang Clan is also known for their innovative business model, including the creation of their own record label and clothing line. They have released several successful albums as a group and members have also pursued solo careers. Wu-Tang Clan's influence on hip hop culture and music is significant, and they are often credited with revitalizing the East Coast hip hop scene in the 1990s.
