Artist Bio:
XTC was an English rock band formed in Swindon in 1972. The band's original lineup consisted of Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding, Terry Chambers, and Barry Andrews. They released their debut album, "White Music," in 1978, followed by a string of critically acclaimed albums including "Drums and Wires" (1979), "Black Sea" (1980), and "English Settlement" (1982). XTC's music is known for its quirky and eclectic sound, blending elements of punk, new wave, and pop, with intricate arrangements and clever lyrics.

Throughout their career, XTC struggled with internal tensions and clashes with their record label, leading to their decision to stop touring in 1982. Despite this, they continued to release albums and singles, with their most popular song being "Making Plans for Nigel." XTC officially disbanded in 2006, with Partridge and Moulding pursuing solo careers. Despite never achieving mainstream commercial success, XTC have garnered a cult following and are celebrated for their innovative and influential music.
