Artist Bio:
Yellowcard was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1997. The band consisted of members Ryan Key (vocals, rhythm guitar), Sean Mackin (violin, vocals), Ryan Mendez (lead guitar), Josh Portman (bass guitar), and Longineu W. Parsons III (drums). They were known for their unique sound that blended pop-punk and alternative rock with the addition of the violin, played by Mackin, which set them apart from other bands in the genre.
Yellowcard gained mainstream success with their hit song "Ocean Avenue" from their fourth studio album of the same name, released in 2003. The album was certified platinum in the United States and the band continued to release successful albums and singles throughout their career. They announced their breakup in 2017, following a farewell tour, but left a lasting impact on the pop-punk and alternative rock scene.
