She gained fame in the 1970s for her performances in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, where she played the role of Mary Magdalene both in the original concept album and on Broadway. Elliman is best known for her hit singles "If I Can't Have You" and "Love Pains," which reached the top of the charts in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
In addition to her successful music career, Yvonne Elliman has also appeared in various films and television shows, including the role of Kaila in the 1978 film "Sgt.
